In June of 2021, I decided that it was time to get healthy. I looked around online and stumbled upon John and Fast Pace. I was a fitness novice. I never went to the gym, never worked out, and didn’t know how any of the equipment in the gym worked. I was even nervous about getting on the treadmill. None of that mattered to John. He was ready to get me healthier and treated me with the utmost respect as a client. One of the things that worried me was that this was not in-person personal training. How would I learn workouts without having John or someone there to do it with me every step of the way? John convinced me that having a trainer physically present is 1) not necessary and 2) potentially counterproductive, as one never feels compelled to learn on their own and figure out a sustainable path forward when the coach is always in the room. From our initial Zoom consultation where John got to know me and my areas of greatest need to our regular conversations about workouts and nutrition, John was exactly what I needed in a trainer. John is dedicated to his clients, cares deeply about their success, and understands that the path to good health requires attention both to diet/nutrition and fitness. And he’s an expert in all of this. If you’re willing to put in the work, I strongly recommend giving John and Fast Pace a try. And, as your fitness goals change, they’re flexible enough to keep up, both in terms of the plans they offer and the attention they give. 7 months into my time with John, I have lost almost 40 pounds and feel better than I’ve ever felt. It’s not magic. It’s been hard work but it’s been so rewarding to see the progress we’ve made. I can’t recommend John and Fast Pace more!
